Alkyl aryl sulfonate2%w/w
Other ingredients
Q.S w/w

100%w/w
Chemical Group:

Selective, Systemic And Contact Herbicide Of Triazinone Group

Applicable Crops:

Soybean: 200-300 gm/acre

Wheat: Medium soil-100 gm/acre

Potato: 300 gm /acre

Tomato 300gm /acre

Method of application:

Foliar Spray. For Domestic Use Take 2 gram per Liter water.

Mode Of Action:

The mode of action of metribuzin is that it acts by inhibiting photosystem II of photosynthesis by disrupting electron transfer. This results in death due to starvation in the target plant. Selectivity is due to differing metabolism of the compound within the plant.

How to use :
  • Metribuzin can be applied as a foliar spray or soil treatment in order to control pre-emergence and post-emergance broadleaf weeds and annual grasses. Metribuzin also has a residual effect on the soil.
  • Premix 2 teaspoons of Metribuzin 75DF with 8 teaspoons of water (1:4 ratio) in a quart jar by adding the water first and follow with Metribuzin 75DF. Mix thoroughly. If a second herbicide is to be used, double the amount of water (1:8 ratio) and add the second herbicide after mixing Metribuzin 75DF first
  • Metribuzin is slightly soluble in water, and slightly soluble in several organic solvents. Because it is available for runoff, contamination of soil, groundwater, and surface waters has been reported.
